Missed opportunity – when my wife was in recovery room from knee surgery at our local hospital, I went to visit its CEO and CNO who had previously had the same jobs at the one I work for 45 miles away. The CEO concluded with “If there’s anything we can do for you, let us know.” I took it in its probable intent to me as a patient’s spouse, but keep thinking I should have said, “Well, a job I can walk to in 15 minutes instead of drive an hour would reduce my two biggest health risks – motor vehicle accident and diabetes.”
