A peregrine falcon landed outside my kitchen window with a pigeon in its talons!! I thin watched it devour its victim with breathtaking precision. mangle!! shred!! tear! better than PBS! I couldn't wait to tell the wifey when she got home KK: what? I though you like nature!!
Many moons ago, I was walking to work. Suddenly, I was befriended by a pigeon. I don’t think it was a wild pigeon but someone’s racer or pet. Well, this little bird followed me with grim determination. It would walk behind me for a bit, then take flight, and do these gentle swoops around me, trying its little pigeon best to be a majestic creature – when I put out my arm, it would land , perch for awhile then take flight once again. This was repeated many times. The people who I passed by were grinning like madmen at the very strange sight of a girl and her pigeon, I must have looked like the world’s weirdest falconer. It was very joyful and I was sad when I got to work because pigeons don’t do well at the office, well known fact. So I said good by little bird, off you go. I was talking about this mad experience to someone else, so happy that the little bird had befriended me in this most bizarre way. At which point a total killjoy just out of the blue said “saw a pigeon today on the lawn, Hawk killed it…” THANKS A LOT JERK. Felt a lot like Keith’s wife, I must say…
