Ten years or so ago, a family-run restaurant here closed, owners retired. It was replaced by a âRoad-Kill Cafeâ. It was awful. I was middle-aged, so not the target customer. Loud, VERY loud: a waiter would stand on a chair and shout the specials. The food was cleverly named, but not notably good. They went under and the kids in the family opened the restaurant back up. They couldnât get the business and closed eventually. Now itâs a car dealerâs overflow lot. You donât know what youâve got âtil itâs gone.
