The real value of parent/teacher conferences is that it makes it easy to understand why the kid is such a brat.
I can see it now. ‘Bobby, why didn’t you do your homework?’ Response: ‘Why should I? My parents did not do theirs.’
Maybe they were protesting her grammar.
