Old King Cole was probably Coel Hen, or Coel the Old, a tribal chieftain in the Yr Hen Ogledd – “ye Old North”. This was the area around Hadrian’s Wall, where there was some remnant of ‘civilization’ during the darkest centuries of the Dark Age.And his “bowl” was a drinking bowl, so Coel was probably routinely drunk. Carrie is justified in her mayhem. Not a good example for the terror baby, however.
The only comic conventions we have around here are Marvel, DC and Black Horse type things. You know, the dressy up, let’s pretend to to be someone else type of thing.

Change of plans, sadly. My car died outside of Baltimore so there will be no appearance at DCCC this year.
