    Well, the athletes have to have their hair done, so I expect they’ve got their own hairdressers..100 metres back combing; synchronised roller winding; freestyle de frizzing……

    But they are introducing a new sport this year – Australian Rules Women’s Topless Beach Volleyball. NBC will be broadcasting this ( tape-delayed ) at 1am. Be sure to tune in. I’m sure there will be many uplifting performances.

    I hope Eve Muirhead gets a chance to redeem herself at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. After huge success in junior curling, she came off as sort of the Anna Kournikova of curling in Vancouver (as skip of the UK team). Perhaps her youth was a factor. I haven’t been following the sport since then, so I don’t know her status.
