Iām not sure who wrote this, but I think itās a pretty accurate poem. Makes me tear up a little
When humans die, they make a willTo leave their homes and all they haveTo those they love.I, too, would make a will if I could write; To some poor wistful lonely strayI leave my happy home,My dish, my cozy bed, my cushioned chair, my toy,The well-loved lap, the gently stoking hand,The loving voice,The place I made in someoneās heart,The love that, at the last, could help me toA peaceful, painless end,Held in loving arms.If I should die, Oh! Do not say,āNo more a pet Iāll haveTo grieve me by its lossā.Seek out some lonely, unloved dogAnd give my place to him. This is my legacy I leave behindāTis all I have to give
