I can think of lots of folks who’d like a driverless car. Old folks who’ve lost their licenses, people with DWIs who’ve lost their licenses, minors running away from home……

Apparently, Google already has logged many miles on our highways using driverless technology. Isn’t that a comforting thought. Then, again, the car is probably doing a much better job at paying attention to it’s surroundings than the average driver.

Driverless cars and robots to grocery shop and run errands for you. Sounds good to me.

My dog Clancy (1998-2011), always used to sit on the console of the car between the front seats when we went on a drive and kept watch out the front window. I’m pretty sure he thought he was driving, or at least helping me drive.

I would get a driverless car in a heartbeat. Hate driving. If I recall, Sally involved someone forcing Manual driving, not a car going bad.

If driverless cars signal their turns, then they’re already better than 90% of the drivers out there. (I know, I know – moving one’s fingers a couple of inches in order to operate the turn signal is too much to ask when the only benefits of that excruciating effort are obeying the law, improving safety, improving traffic flow, and showing common courtesy.)

I certainly would have better things to do on a long trip if the car could drive itself. Think of the comic reading you could do on the way to work…

Toulouse, be glad that Koko and Sakura are not among those dogs in the next lane!Who would want a driverless car? Those who can’t see well at night driving, yet have to drive at night.
