I’m pretty sure Fido would know to pour the slop into the bowl, since he’s seen his humans do it every day. What he’d have trouble with is growing a pair of thumbs to operate the can opener.
You would be surprised what people do – and don’t do – when trying to follow a recipe. I used to edit recipes, and every step had to be crystal clear…. yes, even “pour into bowl.”
