It’s not the cost of the gift but the intent that’s valuable, oh shallow female.

This is a phenomenon that I have mentioned before; but its a perfect fit for today’s strip. We were walking in a park that was filled with Canadian Geese on their way south; and we noticed that the geese were divided into two distinct groups, of several dozen, which never intermingled. Then we looked more closely, and discovered that one group had leg bands, and the other had none. There were no exceptions.

Eddie brings his wife a used leg band. Do you suppose Carl bring HIS wife an already chewed bone?

“Banding” is basically what the whole ring business is about. That and promoting the jewelry industry.

So much for it’s the thought that counts, but Eddy wasn’t thinking too much anyway.

but the leg band use to be his from when he was being rehabilitated to go back into the wild and how did she know what it was but Edwina didn’t. Was she rehabilitated at one time too?
