Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling GREAT MOMENTS IN WEATHEROLOGY SCIENCE THIS WEEK: Congressman Steve Stockman's Bold Experiments When Steve Stockman (R-Tex) was told he'd be participating in hearings on climate change, he knew what to do. Steve: It is my obligation, as a member of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, to fully prepare! Steve: So, many scientists say that melting ice poses a threat to humanity. I will investigate. Steve: Hmm...this experiment seems to be conclusive. But I must learn more! Steve: More ice! I must see what happens when it melts in larger water! Voice: Steve, come to bed! Steve: I won't rest until I know everything about ice and sea levels! Steve: At last, I am done. I now have a full theory of weatherology! And so - Steve: Global warming can't cause sea levels to rise! IF YOUR ICE CUBES MELT IN YOUR GLASS, IT DOESN'T OVERFLOW!! It was thus that Congressman Steve Stockman's mighty contribution to Weatherology Science was sealed. Boy: Hey, ya dummy! The sea levels will rise because of melting ice THAT IS ON LAND, not in the water!! Steve: What next? Perhaps I'll figure out the solution to quantum physicals...
You must not have seen Stockman’s full performance. Here’s a taste.
