I do a syndicated radio daily, so I’m aware of the pressure a daily deadline brings. Your strip today, sending up Calvin and Hobbes, was absolutely inspired! However…
Please get over Trump. I don’t like him either, but he’s not only the President; he’s a YUUUUUGE easy target — and continuing shots at him every new strip is like going to a Star Trek convention and repeating, “He’s dead, Jim!” hoping for lugubrious approval. It’s beyond cliché, and you’ve proven you know satire.
You’re better than that. Please 2) understand your fan base gets that you don’t like Trump; and 1) regain your pre-Trump-possessed brilliance we reveled in so much in years past/passed.
Trump is both a criminal imbecile and a dangerous lunatic. Therefore, why the hell NOT make fun of him until we can find a nice spot for him (may I suggest Arkham Asylum, next to the Joker?)

Anytime a caricature of Trump can be used as Hobbes, that’s got to be worth the effort.
Panel ten is the only justification this needs, really.
Chuckling at people who find it factually representative of reality is just a bonus.
