The problem with torture is that it violates the principal rule of law of the U.S., that someone is innocent until proven guilty. If you torture a suspect, you are punishing someone who is, from legal perspectives, innocent.

I know this is supposed to be parody, from 2008, and really a mirror of foreign/military policy.
However, if you replace “boy adventurer” with “blind man” than you quite literally have the plot to Daredevil, one of the higher rated current shows and itself only the continuation of a trend.
An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind – but until that day we’ll keep watching?

Even bad guys can be adventurers.

I kind of thought we were going to be able to use the letters in the boy adventurer’s name as an anagram for “America”…too obvious?

In spite of what the pretend POTUS and Steve Bannon think, torture is NOT an effective interrogation tool.
Any skilled, military or police Interrogator will tell you that there are far more efficient methods of getting the truth from a subject, other than inflicting physical pain to a point where the person will say anything ( read lie ) to stop the torture. Most information obtained using torture has been proven to be false and unreliable, at best.

What I hate about torture is it hurts me. If it hurts you, that’s just the breaks.

That is why I hate torture. It doesn’t work and is morally wrong. That Christians think republicans are the “Christians” they are really anti-Christian.
