When wearing a mask was mandatory in the hospital where my dog does therapy work, I saw one man with a mask on his wrist. I figured he thought he was being cool and smarter than everyone else. I also am pretty sure he was going to visit a patient like that.
Well, compared to at least some parts of the US, transmission of covid is way down in Denmark (the home of Wu and Mo). So is the general seriousness of what cases do occur. The vaccination rate is very high; there’s no significant resistance to vaccination.
Also, government response is swift and targeted. A while back, after most restrictions were lifted, there was a rash of cases in one town, and it was determined that the spread was via school children. So in-person schooling was shut down in that one town until things were brought under control.
