You only saw a cat because the cat let it happen. The only time to worry is when you don’t see or hear any cat at all.

I’ve seen Carnival of Souls. Maybe it’s my modern sensibilities at play, but it strikes me more as bizarre than creepy.

We had an old cat that died from being exposed to a 5th grade boy’s birthday party. I went upstairs weeks later and a cat was sitting on the bed and turning his head to watch me. I turned on the lights and it was the flaps on a backpack, I think.

The cat is all in your head. And it enjoys being there.

I’m sure there was a cat there, minding its own business and wondering why a child was creeping around. Things seen from below often appear larger than when level with you.

I often see shadows on the top of our back stairs. Then again, it is hard to see if something is really there. Dogs we’ve had over the years would lay down at the top of the steps and be hard to see.
