The bad actors were Japan’s political leaders and the emperor, who even after it was obvious the war was lost, refused to surrender. But these were the same people who were okay with killing their young men in suicide attacks on ships.
Correct. Everyone is sorry that it happened and no one wants it to happen again. In the end though people are responsible for their own government.
