Friends and I had them in high school. They were quickly taken from us when I forgot to turn down the volume during math class. ahhh the days before cell phones.

My friends and I tried something like that before so we could talk without leaving our respective homes or hogging the telephone, but one of my friends walkie-talkie only ever seemed to send and not receive transmissions, and it turned out to be a pain to coordinate when to catch everyone at their respective walkie-talkie, so it ultimately didn’t catch on between us.

I need an explanation, please, because I don’t get it. Why is Amelia disgusted?

@Chrys – I see. It’s easy to miss some details on a smartphone screen, and GoComics has recently made it worse by making it harder to enlarge the comic with their new previous/next day flip feature. I’ve complained to them about it to no avail.

I used to have a walkie-talkie that for some reason could pick up on radios and other walkies. sometimes I could even make out the audio.
