Spud, if you sleep in you’re going to miss some mini-dramas.

Little Nemo meets the kid that LIKES eating pickle ice cream just before bed.

So the Feral One wakes up early. I’ll bet Mom and Dad just loves a parade….not.

The middle panel looks like a Shel Silverstein fantasy.

The plants may need a sun lamp under that bed. That would make for a nice place to hole up and read during a scary hailstorm.

You could say that Wallace wants to REACH FOR THE STARS

Wallace can then say that he was near a star once

It’s fasterness is relative to the observer.

Einstein, as usual, had it right :

Because bamboo has square roots.

Nice idea but … the plant that is called bamboo in CT and ME (and so I imagine in RI) is Japanese knotweed, a widespread invasive species in eastern N. America that wreaks ecological havoc in the places that it invades, Don’t encourage knotweed!

Once the bamboo is tall enough, he could use it to pole vault through his bedroom window.

With our dog, it’s the 3:30 am pot-ty dance..

I love Wallace’s unbridled optimism. We’ve needed that, especially this year.

You know, I believe his parents would put a hole or a very big skylight in his ceiling to help him with his plan. And I just GOT to go to his 4:00am pots and pans parade…..

Whew! At first I thought this was about torture – too brutal for an innocent cartoon!

Dad’s a lobster man, so I bet he’s already awake. Don’t know how psyched Mom would be though.

That second panel is so beautiful. And Wallace’s words are so sweet. It brings a tear to my eye.

Sterling is going to grow up to be a punk rock drummer—he’s a natural.

I am still chuckling over Sterling saying “everyday”…
