I hate it when adventure stories suddenly turn into science fiction.

Another absolutely charming strip from Mr. Henry! The portal is amazing and I LOVE the Gingerbeard/Alien fist bump.

Forgive me, but my first thought was, “If the aliens hid Gingerbeard’s (love the name) treasure, what did Gingerbeard do for the aliens?”

My guess: fish. A lot of.

I adore Wallace The Brave but I would like to see more Sterling.

I see a crossover storyline with Danae from Non Sequitur!

The condos will all have exclusive caves for growing mushrooms and aging cheese and wine.

He offered all of the aliens Gingerbeard cookies! He bakes them himself, so you know they’re good.

Gingerbearad was a pirate with really impressive communication skills.

The middle panel is fantastic, as always :)

Amelia is already spending the treasure on …..Condos!!? NOOOOOO!

Perhaps Wallace and Danae are soulmates.

So…the aliens spoke “Aquatic?” (Most distant alien in panel 2)

Amelia’s on a WHOLE ’nuther level. That girl….

Glad to see Wallace has his eyes on the real prize. And I love the name “Gingerbeard.”

Be careful, Wallace—don’t go through anything you aren’t positive you can get back through.

I bet Will Henry is a big fan of the TV show Fringe.

Some of the comments show too much concern over an imaginative storyline going into science fiction. I don’t share that concern, since Wallace is likely to have gotten those sci-fi references from his parents, TV shows, etc.

What could Gingerbeard offer the aliens?

Cave condos?

Cave condominiums. Done right, you’d save a lot on heating and cooling. A bit dark though. Probably water issues.
