When the nieces and nephews were young, as soon as a book was banned, I gave it to them. They were all books I had read and loved as a youth, tween, and teen. My personal opinion is leave the books alone. If you don’t like it or the topic, then don’t read it. There is a lady who buys all books and then sticky flags all the parts she finds offensive. Keeps them in her basement. She has 2 teenagers. Bet when she is out and they are home they read the flagged passages.

Practice responsible book providing. There are some topics that should be kept from children. Note, that does not mean they are banned from adults.

And the naive parents who demand these books go away are blissfully unaware that their little darlings visit all the porn sites.
