“It was one hell of a night. What looked like the light of a thousand lanterns came up over the hill towards our company. Suddenly we were surrounded by these giant, flying pie-tins with carnival glass windows behind which we could see frog-green critters with possum ears. Franklin fired the first shot and before you knew it, a beam like that of a lighthouse grew suddenly from one of the tins and illuminated Franklin and his horse, Ol’ Parson. Well, they were turned into nothing more than silo dust in the wink of an eye. After that, all hell broke loose….” Eyewitness account.
