    @ Farside99: MDs are ‘notorious’ for having bad penmanship. So, when the king couldn’t read applicant three’s name, he figured he’d be the best choice.

    This is one of the reasons for hospitals switching to electronic medical records-you couldn’t read half of the doctor’s or nurse’s notes (the primary reason was a government mandate for patient portable medical records). Of course now they use dictation software which is almost as bad-what the software heard isn’t what the doctor said and sometimes it is a real hoot to read what the program translates into print.
