Some bats pollinate desert flowers (like cactus flowers) too big for bees to deal with, JAD…yet there are still plenty of bees (honeybees and others) in the desert. There are plenty of flowers that need them.
I used to live in the high desert, specifically that of Tucson, AZ. The area is known for bats of several kinds, including nectar-eating ones, but it also has plenty of honeybees.

I wonder what ants would become….

Well……bats do eat bugs….nice try Wiz.

Correct me if I am wrong (and I am sure you will), but the bats were created to eat the bugs. A very efficient and ecologically sound way to do it.

DigitalFrog strikes again…LOL…
Great comments, everyone.
Whatever ants would become, there would be way too many of them.

I guess Calvin (of Calvin & Hobbes) was right. Bats are bugs after all.
