Bung is wearing knee socks. There isn’t a Robin Hood movie as good as “The Adventures of Robin Hood” with Errol Flynn, Basil Rathbone, Olivia deHavilland, and Alan Hale Sr.
Considering that there were no synthetics and all of the elasticity in the fabrics would have come from the yarn twist and weave or knit, “tights” in those days would probably have been like my granddad’s long drawers after a few washings.
agreed pamlicorat, especially the sword fight between Rathbone (who was an accomplished swordsman - remember the duel between him & Tyrone Power in Mark of Zorro?) & Flynn.
JanCinVV- Good movie! I own that one too. There is also a good sword fight in Capt. Blood between Rathbone & Fylnn and one in The Princess Bride with Cary Elwes & Mandy Pantinkin.

The Merry Men were originally called the Gay Blades, which might explain the costumes that were left over from their figure skating routines.

I don’t think it’s a marshmellow either. I think it’s a hot dog.

Yes, you’ve both been around too long…fashions changed beyond your neck of the woods about, what was it, two hundred years ago?
(Sorry, the last famous man I recall in tights was Louis XIV the Sun King.)

The Flynn/Rathbone/Hale Robin Hood was great, but I also liked the one with Sean Connery as Robin.

I think Bung’s knees are a result of him falling out of the tree yesterday.
They didn’t have the money to buy hot dogs. They’re roasting night crawlers.
