What a turkey……meaning dumb or dimwitted for those not attuned to Oz sayings.

The Presidential Pardon applies to past offences, not future ones! And Christmas is 31 days away, and no turkeys get “pardoned” then!! (I bet most of the turkeys the President pardons get eaten within a few days…)

I watched the video clip on one of the icanhazcheezburger sites. It might have been thedailywhat or punditkitchen, but the link had .uk after it. Our press is too busy with canditate slip ups and Justin Beiber to cover the Presidential turkey pardon?

And looking at the mess that Politicians have made of our government, some of us think that Independence was a bad idea. But I don’t think that The Crown would accept our debt.

It started with President Truman who pardoned the first turkey.

To the Brit. Sorry for the rude guy “blah blah independent etc”. Basically, the cartoon today sucks. I hope that explains it.(Even though I often enjoy it most days.)

Okay, I’m back after a thirty minute meditation which allowed Hacking Dog’s overly caffeinated synapses to settle down. After reconsideration, I believe it is a social commentary on the leniency of our judicial system, and how criminals are often let out to only re-commit the same crimes.

So, I apologize to P and H, and even for taking offense to the guy who gave offense to the Brit.

One more thing; I don’t think a turkey could hold a knife; maybe an Archaeopteryx, which would make it more believable in a B.C. cartoon.

Hey, Raspberryice, as a Brit, what I give thanks for on Thanksgiving Day is that we got rid of the Good Ole USA 235 years ago.
