The only thing that should be allowed to be a G.M.O. should be humans, solve the issues of food/energy scarcity and disease that way, make us capable of living off a bean a day, thrive in the cold and be immune to most illnesses, simply slice some sparrow, eider duck and cockroach DNA into the human genome, and leave the rest of nature alone ;-)
@DreamScourgeGenetically modify anything which strikes your fancy.A plant which covers roofs to waterproof them and produce seedless watermelons along the edges. An organism which eats all garbage and grows houses. (It should also clean the floors afterward.)An organism which duplicates the functions of an undiseased human heart, kidney, lung, spleen, arm.A plant which covers a field and produces and collects turpentine or maple sap or orange juice or latex sap or heptane or glucose or peanut oil or whatever you would like. Make it a perennial so it doesn’t die or stop producing or need tilling, planting and weeding.
“Just add photophores from jellyfish and octopus and you have one self lit GMO pine tree! Though some do develop tentacles and can grab you.”.Reasonably humorous, as long as we remember the genes for phosphoresence are not associated with the genes for body development such as tentacles and muscles.
