Why would a king park his own coach? Or a prince, for that matter? “Liz, it’s raining. Let me drop you off in front of the grocery store, and I’ll go park the coach.” “Thanks Phil”.Not bloody likely.
Years ago I saw a demonstration of the 40 horse Belgian draft horse hitch. Ten teams of 4 horses hitched to a beer wagon. One of their maneuvers was to back the wagon up to a dock and swing the team 90 degrees (in real life they had to swing the team so it wouldn’t block traffic while unloading. Impressive!
It’s bad enough backing up with a farm tractor and wagon. I used to make this easier with a Ferguson 30 by unhooking, turning the tractor around and rehitching to the ring on the front. Backing something up is much easier when looking foreward.
Thanks! I do have a large collection of cars and trucks from various vintages behind glass doors; however, the tractor-trailer I have is similar.
BTW, I also have several Jim Beam original decanters of a variety of cars beginning with the early 20th century as well as a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am, a couple early Corvettes, and a Black 1956 Thunderbird, all with unbroken seals!

And here I thought the whole idea of a horse drawn coach was that the horses did all the hard work…

Seldom a pretty sight, no matter who has to do it.I even had to parallel park a 35’ school bus.

For my drivers license test … I had to parallel park an early 70’s Pontiac Safari station wagon.

@Prof’s hubbieEven if the King makes a hash of it, I’d be impressed to see it done with a coach’n four.
Is that a real full size rig? It’s nice, but it looks more like one of the scale model trucks I have in a display case behind my office desk…

1/87 scale… full-size wouldn’t fit on the page
