This one threw me a bit. I started reading it with sarcasm as the tone~ (as a lot of this comic reads to me). But by the end, I wound up changing my tone to as if I was reading it to a child. I love it. Thanks for all the mind bending chuckles & interesting insights!
Since light travels faster than sound, how many years did this bird have to wait for the star’s words to reach her? Since the bird has the awareness to understand the time it took for the starlight to reach her, if I were she, I would think that the star was speaking to someone else and just ignore the words.

When i’m at my telescope looking at some dim, fuzzy patch of light of a far distant galaxy, i wonder if anyone there is looking back.

Very possibly the finest words that David Malki has written in this strip. Thank you for a finely crafted insight.
