Someone answer me this: why is American football even called football? The ball gets kicked once in a while- but it spends most of the time in the playersβ hands, or under their arms. Is it not true that in soccer, the game the rest of the world calls football, the foot is much more important to the game, and the players donβt use their hands? -βββββββββββββββββββ-While weβre at it, why does the word soccer break the so-called βruleβ that βcβ is pronounced like an βsβ before the vowel βeβ? Why is the word pronounced [SOCK-er] and not [SOCKS er]?
