Doesn’t take much for Ed to save energy.

Actually, turning the lights on and off uses more electricity as there is a power surge when they are turned on (which is why bulbs most often but not always, blow when the lights are turned on. Used to know the name for the power curve when turned on but forget).

So what’s the odds we get to see Rita at the gym working out to try and get back in shape?

I knew a woman who kept her TV on 24 hours a day (muted at night) because someone told her it used more power turning on than running. She never stopped to think and ask “how much more”. At most, the startup process used 500% more power for a couple of seconds . I felt sorry for her husband.

I found the best way to save energy regarding the TV was to get rid of it altogether.
