Targeted adverts are too persistent. I looked up tire sizes for my car. Bought my tires. Two months later still getting ads for tires.

She lives in an apartment.

Never have any Smart gadgets in your house of any kind.

My son and I were talking about hearing aids one day. Shortly after that conversation, we started getting all kinds of junk mail for hearing aids and letters for “free” hearing tests. The same thing happened from a few other conversations we’d had about other things we did as a test. We figured it was from my cell phone listening in. Now that phone stays turned off and in a metal box when I’m at home. No more piles of junk mail coming in. Our computers are old enough they don’t have cameras or microphones, so no worry there. The ad blockers stop everything else.

I have Prime but they don’t assemble items for ME.

My brother was looking for car insurance. Before he had finished the first request for quotation, his phone started ringing and didn’t stop for three days.

One of the hazards with too many non-user controlled “smart” gadgets at home, in card, etc.
