Where did the " expression " ( poop deck ) come from originally , I wonder ?

Is the Sailor swabbing the deck also steering the ship? If not, where is the Sailor to steer the ship. I think the wheel is too large for Yaffle.

I thought that was the head….but I guess that’s a topic for another comic.
