Before I totally virtualized my medical library, my one rule about drinks in the library was to not pour them into the computer (the reasoning behind banning food and drink in most libraries is that drips and crumbs atttact insects, which when they’re finished with those start in on the books; in a working hospital library, the advance of medical science makes the books worthless before the bugs have a chance).
