So I guess the humor in this strip is that the kid has all sorts of foolish, illogical, totally unsubstantiated beliefs, and refuses to pay attention in class or do any homework.

No TJ, he is just saying that climate change is the natural cycle of the earth and is not affected by man made factors. The so called experts (especially those at East Anglia University) were caught falsifying data to support their false beliefs. The computer models they use are designed to substantiate their narrative not the truth. This all is just a scam to get research money and, like Al Gore, make money through a big scam.

When this strip focuses on Zack’s life, it’s pretty good. When it tries to push a political agenda, it’s terrible. The Johns need to decide whether they prefer to produce a successful comic strip, or a failing political cartoon.

oh and all of you don’t forget that the REAL problem is farting!!! farting cows, farting people, cause since mankind came on the scene and domesticated animals and have kept records for millions of years we know that climate change is definitely farting cows and methane gas – and of course gullible mankind believes anything told them by the talking heads – so we all can argue all day about who is right and who is stupid and who is smarter than who and who listens to who and on and on and on ad nauseum over a simply line by a cartoon character that is actually very funny. if you don’t believe humans are gullible – no matter what your political affiliation than please do us all a favor and educate yourself on the history of mankind written by mankind – what’s the line “the only thing certain in this world is death and taxes!”

Climate change is NOT new. Just the manmade variety. The sun rises and sets every single day, but if it started happening every three minutes and the cycle was strongly correlated to human activity, I’d probably be a bit concerned. It would be awesome for everyone if the science were wrong; then we’d only have to adapt, rather than changing out energy and industrial policies. And there are plenty of folks with a LOT of money who could produce that data if they really wanted to. In fact, just recently leading climate change denier Richard Muller received generous funding from Koch Industries to authoritatively disprove climate change. When he reported the results, he had been “converted” to the other side. In his own words, “Three years ago I identified problems in previous climate studies that, in my mind, threw doubt on the very existence of global warming. Last year, following an intensive research effort involving a dozen scientists, I concluded that global warming was real and that the prior estimates of the rate of warming were correct. I’m now going a step further: Humans are almost entirely the cause.”
