Excellent work, Edgar. (Side note: with the panel showing the iPod playing “Eye of the Tiger”, gotta miss Jimi Jamison since this August.)

That’s about how its always been for me, not easy, not exactly graceful and no celebration at the end, but the mission is accomplished.

I felt that way over a year ago when I began cross fit training with my Captain. He led and I followed. Many times only doing something for 10 to 15 seconds totally out of breath. But I got my self checked out, changed some diet, fixed my deficiency anemia (which I did not know I had. Its a low iron problem either by not getting enough or resistance to absorbing or internal bleeding. Mine was not enough and resistance. Low iron results in low red cell count. Leads to oxygen deficiency when working out among other things. Iron tables from the Health food store. The good ones.).AND I KEPT AT IT! Three times a week, 1 hour or better each training session. Now I can do all the exercises he throws at me. I go till I get tired then get up and go again (that is just me). I may not finish first…..but believe me…..I WILL finish. Then I will reach back to encourage any behind me to finish and if necessary I will come back and be right there with you.

Often, for better or for worse, I didn’t realize it was impossible until after I had finished (or failed). I seldom thought to ask anybody beforehand. And, like others, I have imagined up to 6 impossible things before breakfast. It’s been a busy 3/4 century.

To quote Ashleigh Brilliant “Against everybody’s advice, I did the right thing.”

This reminds me of when I told my family I was going to go to college and get a degree. Yes I did it and I was the first in my family to do it.

I am still working on my goal of finishing school. I am not business, the fall back point for many. I am going to school for astrophysics. I don’t care if I’m 99 going down the aisle for my doctorate, I will finish it.
