That would work very well, except we’re working with humans.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.

The above speech was made shortly after the death of Joseph Stalin in an attempt to dissuade the Soviet Union from an arms race. We can see how that worked out.

I have posted this before, but is seems as if we need a reminder. I cannot change the world, my nation, my state, but I can make my part of my city better. I have chosen to do that by working with the homeless, those who have been abandoned by our society. Unfortunately it seems as if our society is intent on making more homeless, and cussing those who try to help. “Stop feeding those worthless human garbage!!” San Diego is MY town, there’s no Worthless Human Garbage in MY town. If there is a need we will feed.

You can make a difference in YOUR town. Find something that needs done and speaks to your soul. . . Do That!! Others will see your kindness and be drawn to help you. You will become a beacon of light in the darkness. As more people get involved in kindness just as Gavin Aung Than has illustrated, together we can push the darkness back.

    Blessings to All

It’s not that we can’t feed the hungry. It’s that we can’t satisfy the wealthy.
