sounds like the “swamp water” we drank when i was a high schooler working part time in a restaurant. a tasty mix of all the different soft drinks we served. (also known as, “guess what’s in it this time.”)
filipino friend would always talk about “soop” always “soop”…I asked him what he was talking about that he was saying it that way……….he said I’,m talking about what you dig out of the ground…”thousand year old duck eggs”!
Hahaha… reminds me of when I was a conscript in our army. One day you’d get jäger sauce (German sauce that goes with white meat), the next you’d get mushroom sauce (self explanatory) and, yep, the 3rd day you’d get CTRE (Center for Transmissions, Recrutement and Education) sauce: the two leftovers together.
Still, it was better than having to chase the cockroaches off the lunchmeat when I wanted to make a sandwich at my later posting.

The A&W Root Beer stand where I lived used to serve that. Half and half, root beer and orange soda. Not horrible, but not great, either.

I remember doing that once at a Subway. I couldn’t make up my mind between root beer and orange so I mixed ‘em!

Start with a good base and add all the bits of leftovers and serve with catsup.
