Every time I hear “just” used like that, I get angry. I traveled a lot on business and almost every time I went to a restaurant, I would be “greeted” with “just one?” in a tone implying that I was less than welcome. I got to the point where my reaction would be to say that if I were not welcome, perhaps I could speak to the manager/owner to see if I could get a recommendation for a restaurant where I was welcome.
