A friend of mine and I built a deck for my wife when we were dating (me and my wife, not my friend). Cost us $2400.00 in supplies and beer. Did a great job. The next year we got married; she sold her place and the buyer murdered his wife. The police thought he was hiding in the house (mobile home) and trashed it by breaking all the windows and throwing in flash bangs. Insurance company totaled the home and it was towed away. The deck came through unscathed and was still beautiful. Man that was some deck!
Not sure if this would be considered the voice of maturity or what, but in my opinion if a person has that much ambition and drive, Habitat for Humanity could use some volunteers.

Early concept sketches. Reality will set in as details and costs are determined. ‘Keep it simple’ is not the intention of this project.

Most of the time, maturity is definitely overrated.

Love the plans! They won’t work but they’re pretty awesome! My honey sometimes has a childlike innocence too but adhd will do that.

Over plan. Then when the building inspectors cut it back, you’ll probably still have more than the original concept. But that bell tower has to go!

Reminds me of Mr. Blandings’ Dream House.

That’s true…as long as one adult member has some sense of responsibility.
