Maybe Laura should go a bit over the edge to get him to mow?

Good luck!! She’s just part of the furniture in that house, but it would be nice to see her stand up to him, just once!!

And so, Laura’s plan involving use of their neighbor to get Adam to mow the lawn more often and more responsibly fails to take hold. Laziness wins again. You’d think with all that coffee he drinks, the lawn would get mowed 3 times over.

There was a yard like that in every neighborhood. Now, with H.O.A.s, not so much.

Adam’s neighbor has obsessive lawn cutting disorder (OLCD).

Adam just likes to wait until the grass is as high as an elephant’s eye.

At least mow a path and a circle for the wading pool.

The fanatic needs several acres to keep the way he wants. Living in the center he wouldn’t need to see the wilderness.

I didn’t realize it was Adam that lived next door to me. I’ve mowed 5 times this spring; he’s mowed once!

Some folk should not be allowed to own a home in a city.

It is not my issue if my neighbor goes bonkers, unless he aims his bonker at me. Then it is my business. Maybe I fix my issue or maybe I fix his wagon. Depends.

But didn’t the “alien” come into the house and steal some coffee?

I’m on Adam’s side. Mowed the lawn 2 days ago and it needs it again. Wish I could blacktop the yard.

Laura, you have the power to get Adam to cut the lawn. No conjugal activity.

Somewhere over in Jersey there’s a busybody who thinks he is a code officer. To get attention he keys people’s cars and leaves a note with his desires. I hope they catch him before someone gets hurt.

Husband gets sick when he mows the grass – mostly the back yard as we have a semi-circular drive that takes up most of the front of the house – as well as when he does other physical labor so we do not mow often (he is afraid I will get hurt if I do it, but have finished it a few times now for him). Nor do we do anything to encourage the grass to more or faster.

Last year he bought an electric mower to make it lighter and easier to use. Problem is that that the electric cord recommended to use with it is a higher amperage and therefore thicker than the normal tool cord – but despite it being the size cord that the mfgr says to use, the piece that hangs on the handle to put the cord through to hold it out of the way, does not take this thick a cord. Husband adapted it with a piece of velcro – but this does not completely work. So when he mows I have to follow along on the side holding the electric cord up in the air so he does not run the mower over it by accident.

Saturday he did a mowing on the tallest grass setting (grass was up to our knees) and then again at the second lowest setting (lowest did not work well). Hopefully we will not need to mow for until some time in June. After I cleaned everything up, put the bagged grass clippings at the curb, stored everything, while he went inside and sat and drank gatorade to feel better. As least this time he did not need a nap afterwards.
