Where’s little Nick’s invitation? Once again the other kids and the dog are more important. Then again, where’s Laura’s? Maybe he only gives them to people he know will attend.
My family is Jewish. My dad and I had an older (than either of us) man for working for us who was Catholic and we, along with my mom and my husband, would take him for dinner in December and we called it the office Christmas party. We did this for a number years. Of course being an office Christmas party, even if we went to a restaurant, it was tax deducible.
The fellow finally decided to retire. That December dad did not mention the Christmas party. I finally asked him if he were going to have it anyway. We did until the December that dad was in the hospital before he died – office party, mom, dad, husband, and me.
My husband and I each have a very small professional practice out of the house and a joint handmade craft business. The craft business (just the two of us) often has a Christmas party, but we don’t deduct it as the business loses enough money.

I’d check to see if he plans on giving out any gift bags during the party before deciding to go.

If you can take a tax deduction it’s a real office.
I wonder if that includes working while on the can?

Silly can hide a whole lot of senile. I plan to be as silly as I can for as long as I can.
