This has got to be the LAMEST arc ever shown on this strip!

Oh, come on. It’s pretty amusing.

Questionable father figure, that’s one way to describe Adam.

Some people want to be grumpy, but this pretty funny. Maybe it’s too velocitish for some.

The AI stand-in actually has a sense of humour!

At best, this is just Rob poking fun at the now years OLD A.I., which could draw this with one – or ten – tentacles behind it’s many backs. And it – they- wouldn’t draw the same dumb t-shirt graphic every day as he does.

At worst, well, there’s still the dumb story that goes nowhere.

I like the AI gag, but I’m worried Rob is just making AI seem extra bad now so we won’t notice when he shifts to it full time in the future.

I laughed so hard at “brattish child” the other day!

I especially like the confusion of the hand and the baseball glove in panel 2. As AI doesn’t know the real world, it does make merges like this. I have seen in an Easter picture a creature that is obviously a combination of a lamb and a chick.

At least AI Adam is slightly less insulting. He’s exercising, taking time to raise his son in a healthy way, and he has the strength to throw a ball with enough force to break a window. Real Adam wouldn’t get off the couch, Laura would have to throw the ball for him, he’d hurt himself anyway when Katy threw the ball to him, and the strip would end with the whole family pitying their emasculated father figure. So Dennis the Menace levels of getting in trouble is actually an upgrade for Adam.
