Why wouldn’t she say “I’m with/from HR”? Is she the entirety of the human resources department? (I can’t believe my keyboard suggested “human cannonballs”; interesting department idea).
“Hello, Ms. Resources. You must have had a tough time at school with a first name like “Human”. Your parents just really left you no chance to become a lawyer or a ballerina, huh?"
One place I worked had quarterly all hands meetings off site. The head of Human Resources who’d recently gotten married got up to speak and said, “Hi, I’m Jane Doe, of Human Resources, the former Jane Roe.” My boss had been an English teacher before she took up coding. She poked me in the ribs and we both held our hands over our mouths.
(sigh) i’m old enough to remember when employees were called “personnel” & not some “resource” as if we were merely some kind of ore to be mined, ground up & melted down.

I don’t see why the HR woman is getting confused. Someone has asked how they may be resourceful. Just roll with it.

I had one who introduced himself as HR….I responded Hi…I’m RW. I thought it was cool using initials as an introduction.

It is interesting what the addition of an eyebrow can do to a character’s attitude.

“Human Resources” always made me feel like a commodity instead of a human being. I prefer “Personnel.” It was a change with no useful purpose.
