When dumpster diving, you can do a heck of a lot better than packets of condiments – a lot of perfectly good food gets thrown out. In some cities, soup kitchens work with groceries and restaurants to rescue aesthetically flawed but otherwise perfectly edible foodstuffs. Yet even in those cities, a lot of stores and restaurants will not participate, and the Agneses of the world could eat well by seeking out their discards.
Management has NEVER done what is right! Their idea is, “If we can’t use it, then no one uses it!” AND it starts at the top! When I worked for the PO, they upgraded to new computer system and instead of selling the old ones, they just threw them in the land fill AND guarded the dumpsters to make sure no one got any of them!

FDR stepped in and ordered the government to purchase the fruit. Eventually, this led to the Excess Commodities Program – the forerunner to Food Stamps
Anything thrown away is considered abandoned and worthless to the original owner, ownership renounced.You can not steal what nobody owns..By the way I saw a cathode ray tube television beside the road, WORKS written in front of it. My only thought was that I would only consider taking it for the copper wire for my wife’s jewelry making.If a thing works but you don’t want it, it’s worthless.
