I bet gran’ma has many regrets already…
Trout’s never been in Agnes’s bathroom before and seen the cover?
Piano? I think grandma is pulling Agnes’ proverbial leg.
I remember seeing something like it in the bathroom for a while when I was five or six. It can’t have been something you’d see in an Architectural Digest spread, maybe Good Housekeeping or McCall’s.
When I was a kid (in the 50’s) that type of thing was common.
My grandma made one of these for me, too!
Grandma could have been another Chick Corea!
I remember those toilet paper roll covers. They were quite the fad many years ago. I use Trout’s mom’s solution nowadays. ;-)
And that, my dear children, is how Grandma missed greatness by such a small decision of whether to play piano or to crochet…
the toilet handle is backwards
I remember those! But I never saw such a fancy one.
They were from the days when people wouldn’t say “toilet” or “toilet paper” in polite society, so you wanted to hide the extra roll of “TP.”
And, of course, everyone had a knitted or crocheted toilet lid cover.
That toilet paper cover looks like it has some attitude.
grandma could probably sell it on ebay and get some money to pay for lessons…
The dress on it used to be white. :)
