folks in the boonies are above all disputatious. their answer to every utterance is honto ka na (no, really?). naturally, chatting about the weather also leads to debate. mention that the weather forecast calls for rain and the person you’re talking to will invariably say something like, yeah, but it doesn’t usually rain at this time of year… ☺
