    I bought a ball joint press to work on my daughters Chevy van. When I worked on my Ford van, I took parts off and brought to the auto parts/machine shop to have the ball joints pressed out and in. Chevy put the ball joints in the A-arms and Ford put them in the knuckle. No drilling required.
