I’ll believe that one! One church I used to attend got a new pastoral team- and the morning coffee became so watery, it looked like tea. I found out it was the pastor’s wife who made it that way, because that is the way the pastor drank it. At a restaurant, he would order just 1/2 a cup of coffee and add hot water.

They went away on a month vacation and I volunteered to make the coffee. Everybody thanked me.

I think I understood as many as six of those words.

LOL at the “sorrow” line.

Ha! I’ve tasted sorrow.

Blame it on the “church ladies” of yesteryear!

They had to scrimp, save annd stretch whatever they could to put meals together, yet be tasty! ☺️

You had me at What the Sam Hill! I remember my dad using that term getting real kick out of it.

I’ve never eaten a Slushburger, but “sorrow” seems like the perfect description. Plus it’s hilarious!

Sounds like she’s a recent escapee from Iowa who really wants a loose meat sandwich recipe?

I was thinking the Iowa delicacy loose meat but that has no tomato sauce.

Think “manwich”.

A slushburger also sounds like the directions will NEVER use lean ground beef or drain the fat after browning. Which would not be an entirely bad thing.
