It’s only ever an uneasy truce between two cats.

We have an alert for such high level cuteness… the Cute Alarm where we go “CUUUUTE… CUUUUTE” and the other is to come running to spy on the cuteness already in progress.

I have one photo of all three cats on the same sofa but judiciously spaced out around the long suffering but patient dog.

Awww…. We try to get a pic of such cuteness in our house, but just getting out the phone guarantees the the moment is over.

It’s not the sleeping that is problematic. It’s when they wake up next to other, when one of them was not expecting it.

We had a pair of cats who slept touching each other once in the 15 years they were co-cats. Normally 18 inches was the minimum distance in a premium location.

I once had three cats – the two females got along, and they were both united in their hatred of the younger male kitten. One day, they had a truce so they could share a spot of fleeting sunshine. My husband captured it on film and even called me at work to tell me about it.

My 2 orange tabby cats were bonded young so they curled up together often. My mother in laws cat (when she had to leave home) tried to fit in but was never accepted. We had a friend take him-he was a great cat. Would come when called.
