I do believe G.G. Gumby’s going for an ‘oldiay Arc! I’m actually looking forward to-It if so; and pip pip/smashing/canny gut/summat/whatever. At least some credit for a Smythe tradition. . . . bet-It won’t be a Fortnight’s worth tho
Well if it bothers you that bad, then just enjoy the strip and don’t bother with the comments. I usually just scroll down to see if someone has posted some of the old strips that might relate to the current one. I like that, it’s like a bonus strip for the day, but I don’t bother reading everyones comments.
Re today’s strip, once again, Moldsmith and Darnit write Andy as a one note joke, in their version, he’s an alcoholic who thinks of nothing else, besides drinking.
You really should consider quitting this site. The nonsense you are so stirred about has you in such a state that your rants are starting to make no sense. I might also add, that your constant carping is also personal and has nothing to with the strip.
Morn’n Cappers. Had connectivity problem at the turn so I couldn’t join the early crowd. Just to stay relevantly relevant, today’s strip reminds me of my old roommate, who as an actor, performed in a lot of theatres throughout the States. The first thing he would do upon arriving at a new venue ( stop watch in hand ) was time how long it took him to get from the theatre to the nearest bar ! He also knew the amount of time he had between his scenes. He always said he preferred roles where he was killed off in the first Act.He never missed a curtain call – or a line, for that matter.
I try to read related comments for most of the comics I read, and it’s nearly impossible on this one. Haven’t you people heard of Yahoo Instant Messenger?
That’s just a ‘doing It to death’ schtick of mine no worries. In fairness Basketball didn’t start with a Peachbasket in Springfield [still American tho].
Another telegraphed punch line! (If the current team was around in the old days, would they smoke signal each punch line?) “Sally Forth” mentioned Andy today and was a lot funnier than today’s “Andy”………

I like bad cartoons too, like Drinky Crow and South Park, but “Good” ‘toons are allowed in sometimes. Day started good and I made some homemade ketchup from a recipe I got online awhile back. It’s cheaper than paying 3 or 4 dollars for the “good stuff”.-I’m sure your finger fully recovered some time ago. I talked to my Aunt E. yesterday. ..Still having a rough go of it.A bright and productively fun day to you !
That’s really awesome. My Mum does homemade stuff also. Eileen is still in thoughts and I think she’ll cheer up A LOT when she sees you and when she has those hummingbird lights in her garden. -I like South Park too… I like a lot of animated, cartoony shows. -I’ve only recently started to watch ‘Beavis and Butthead’ I saw it when I was a bit younger too but at first glance I didn’t think a lot of it. Now that I’ve watched it properly I love it. -Remember when you said before that I was sensible? Well you have my permission to take that back because it’s not exactly a show that sensible people watch. LOL.-But if I enjoy it then that’s all that matters.-I hope you have a bright and fun day too.
I was only repeating what I’d heard all my life about the Canadians saying they invented hockey. My apologies Sir and now I’ll have Mikeyj ticked at me again.I’ll try to do better in the future.
^^Well, as the case with American sports, like baseball, which is a game composed from Cricket and Rounders, Hockey as we know it, evolved from several different sports, the first being a game named “Kolf”, which evolved into both Golf and field hockey; which then was put onto winter ponds and renamed “Shinny” (What we Canadians generally call “pond hockey”), then, with a mix of both Rugby and Lacrosse rules and put onto skates, the game evolved into the Canadian game, we Canucks call Hockey… and the rest of you call “Ice Hockey”
Those look like Lilacs. Lilacs smell heavenly, the heirloom variety anyway. Newer ones don’t quite have that lovely scent. Ask me, I thought I was buying one like my mom had, no, mine barely has a scent at all. Pretty, but no scent. :-(
@DryIt has lilacs that smell heavenly, but the Rhododendrons are amazingly beatiful and scent free. I never really liked the smell of Lilacs but its fits here….I can just smell freshly mowed grass and the lilac scent mixed along with the smell of the pines that surround the area and the creeks scents along with it all…a firepit, some wine, and a fully mosquito repellant covered body and a sunset…what could be better?
Linda, what could be better? The fact that little gorgeous hunk of grandson is only 25 miles away doesnt enter into it at all huh?…lol… of course it does!!
ok I will quit talking to myself now….heheheee…I have more realtor appointments this week, but I do think I may be moving close to my family…but I swear if none of them move me the way my avatar did, its going to be home soon…

Linda, up close it doesn’t look so big after all. It looks nice and cozy! Take it, go for it, esp. if it’s near little Ronnie!
